Senior Supervisor, Process

Job Title: Test Engineering Manager - Electronics Contract Manager


Main Function:

This position is responsible for supervising the ASH 1 Operations areas, which include Chlorination, Condensation, Fume Disposal/Thermal, Purification, Oxidation, Neutralization and Finishing. The position will support Company goals by achieving optimum results while driving improvements in safety, environmental, quality, cost and reliability by leveraging the full value of all employees. The Shift Superintendent will foster teamwork across the shift and with all other functional groups.

  • Primary responsibility is to coach and encourage Operators to monitor process, foster teamwork and pride in the crew, and communicate plant goals, standards and direction, and ensure accountability.
  • Develops operations personnel through coaching, feedback, and unit assignments; through periodic performance reviews.
  • Drives continuous improvement to optimize plant operations.
  • Fosters teamwork across the shifts and with all other functional groups to ensure activities are well-aligned and maximizing impact.
  • Focuses on the long-term goals of the Company while taking responsibility for daily production results and driving improvements in safety, environmental, quality, cost and reliability along with the implementation of changes in policies and procedures.
  • Develops, coordinates and issues daily instructions for shift personnel to meet all day-to-day plant objectives with respect to safety, environmental control, efficiency, reliability and productivity.
  • Ensures that process systems are operated in accordance with safe operating procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with Cristal Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Leads monthly safety meetings.
  • Ensures that the workplace is free of harassment, discrimination and that individuals are treated with respect.

 

Education, Training & Work Experience Requirements:

  • A college degree and 5 years of manufacturing experience or 10 years of manufacturing experience is desired to ensure a strong understanding of operating environments.
  • Experience in a leadership role is desired to develop and demonstrate the leadership competencies required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards and model the appropriate behaviors.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of the plant process.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety, environmental and emergency response requirements.
  • Functionality with various computer programs (SAP, word, excel, etc.).
